Presentation at New Netherland Institute’s 41st Annual Conference and Dinner, Albany, NY

The dinner program will feature a talk by Ian Stewart, owner of New Netherland Timber Framing and Preservation, on Dutch building practices in the Hudson Valley and surrounding regions from the New Netherland period through the first decades of the nineteenth century. Using industrial, agricultural, and residential exemplars from the Old and New World, Stewart will focus on Dutch timber framing and introduce the language associated with it.
